That’s quite a bold claim I know but few items stop me in my tracks when I’m shopping and this was one of them. Trust me when I say it’s the bag that keeps on giving.
I’ve just bought this bag in red. I was shopping in York with a girlfriend earlier this week and I spotted it in Zara. Even at twenty paces, I knew it was just the bag I’d been looking for. The shape, the size, the handle, the modern yet retro feel of it; all these things ticked imaginary little boxes in my head.
By the time I’d made it over to the other side of the store I was even more thrilled to find it was soft, light and made from a very realistic looking faux leather, had expensive looking hardware, a detachable internal pocket (which makes a cute little pouch in its own right) AND an optional shoulder strap. I love carrying it as a little grab bag or hooked over the crook of my arm but there’s always a time when you’ll need/want to be hands-free.
It also comes in a putty grey colour with a nice (as opposed to cheap looking) gold handle for those who love their accessories to be neutral. I couldn’t resist the red though (I seem to be on a bit of a red rampage at the moment). It is, I believe, the perfect size as well. Big enough for all the essentials: wallet, phone, keys, notebooks, makeup etc (you could easily use this for work and fit a novel and a packed lunch in there) but still dinky and chic enough for a night out.
I took it out for a lunch date yesterday, it passed my mum’s test later that day and I also used it on the school run this morning. That for me is the definition of a good bag right there!
Oh and did I mention it’s only £25.99?
P.S. I also gave my pink suit a road test yesterday and will report back soon!
