Recently I teamed up with Pinterest to help them launch their very first UK shop, by gathering together some of my favourite A/W 16 fashion trends and pieces. Here’s a little taster of my specially curated board.
We all look to Pinterest for fashion ideas and inspiration, especially at certain times of the year like now when we have a seasonal shift. In fact, did you know that over 20 million fashion ideas are saved to Pinterest each month? It’s no wonder it’s become the go-to destination. But increasingly users, myself included, have been using Pinterest to shop directly and searching for looks and themes that are bang up to date as well as shoppable. It just makes sense really doesn’t it?
So, to make it even easier to find the fashion items we love, this month sees the launch of the new Pinterest UK Shop, which will be part of Pinterest’s featured collections section on the site. You’ll be able to discover and buy items from specially curated collections from your favourite shops and ‘tastemakers’ (including yours truly this month!).
Each collection is entirely shoppable – you just need to click on the Pin to be directed straight to the brand’s website to make your purchase (I know, I think I’m going to have to hide my debit card!). From street style to wardrobe staples, the Pinterest UK shop will feature a mix of high street and luxury labels. Brands such as Ted Baker, Topshop, New Look, Anthropologie and Next have curated boards of their favourite Autumn 2016 looks for the September Pinterest UK Shop Collection. And Pinterest has also asked a few fashion bloggers to curate their own AW16 trend boards, including Park & Cube, The Frugality, Fashion Foie Gras, London Diaries, Love Cloth, Siobhan Watts, Uptown Style and myself.
My board features my pick of this autumn’s key trends and pieces from high street brands, at a range of prices and I’ll be updating it regularly. I’ve chosen from military style coats and blazers to pinstripe, tweed, lace, ruffles and ribbed knitwear, in my current favourite palette of khaki, blush and burgundy.
I dare you to go and have a look!
P.S. I wasn’t paid to create my board or write this post, I just did it for the love of fashion and Pinterest 🙂
