Sales steals and recent buys

I seem to have had a little spending spree recently. Maybe it’s because I carried out a wardrobe spring clean the other day or maybe it’s just that I can’t resist a bargain. Either way I thought I’d collate some of my recent buys as well as some other sales steals I noticed along the way. As per usual I can’t seem to resist the lure of pastel hues but luckily they seem to be ‘in’ again this year (did they ever really go out?) and anyway I think they go really well with denim, neutrals and even stronger primary colours too, so why not eh?Fashion sales picksSo, let’s start with that lemon coat from M&S, was £79 now £46. They have so many good coats in that shop these days, both in terms of colour and cut. My advice: go in-store so you can try them on. Some styles work better a size or two up to get that over-sized ‘cocoon’ shape.

Next up is these ever so cute cropped pink trousers from Great Plains, was £60, now £30. They’re actually a lovely waffle-type texture, still warm enough for colder spring days and feel a bit Orla Kiely to me. I’ll be styling them up in an outfit post soon.

This pale blue coat is from H&M and while it’s not actually in the sale I always think their clothes are so affordable it may as well be. It’s £39.99 and has a nice textured weave, while the exposed black zip stops it being too girlie. It’s also available in powder pink (yep!) and would make a great S/S cover-up.

I love this wool bomber jacket from M&S, which could work in place of a coat or cardigan and would go with absolutely everything. Was £69, now £28.

On to that two-tone pink jumper, which has a nice textured stitch effect. It’s a steal from Boden, was £39.50, now £23.70 and also comes in teal blue and pale mint.

Let’s talk Breton tops. No you really can’t have too many and I found this lovely one on the Laura Ashley site, in two colourways – so nice, I could justify both as I know I’d wear them so much, especially with 25% off.

These canvas brogues are from Great Plains, available in navy or sand (which I bought) are an absolute bargain: was £80, now £24. I think they’ll be great for summer and I like the wooden heel.

And finally, I bought these floral patterned trousers from H&M a little while ago and I’ve worn them loads. The cobalt blue feels on-trend, I love the print, they’re so comfy and even at the full price of £19.99, they’re a great buy.

Hope you like some of these picks – happy shopping!

M&S are just on FIRE with the coats this season, i could have spent an absoloute fortune! I got the wonderful bright green car coat with the pretty pink floral lining for half price in the sale last week and went up two sizes. Mostly because they didn’t have my size. But you’re right, it looks fine. ‘Cos it’s cocoon-ey anyway it look fab. I have been swishing about in it wearing my black beret and a sweet floral silk scarf.

Love these picks Kat. I spied the patterned trews in our H&M today and thought of you. You wear them so well!!!

It looks like you’ve done very well in the sales, there’s some great finds here. I absolutely love the brogues (in both colours!) and would almost certainly have ended up buying them but they don’t go down to a 36, boo 🙁 Still, I’m going to be on the lookout for a copycat pair now!

Ooh, I’ve been eyeing up those H&M trousers for a while – but not been plucky enough to buy them yet. I love printed skirts/dresses but have never done patterned trousers!
