I seem to have had a little spending spree recently. Maybe it’s because I carried out a wardrobe spring clean the other day or maybe it’s just that I can’t resist a bargain. Either way I thought I’d collate some of my recent buys as well as some other sales steals I noticed along the way. As per usual I can’t seem to resist the lure of pastel hues but luckily they seem to be ‘in’ again this year (did they ever really go out?) and anyway I think they go really well with denim, neutrals and even stronger primary colours too, so why not eh?So, let’s start with that lemon coat from M&S, was £79 now £46. They have so many good coats in that shop these days, both in terms of colour and cut. My advice: go in-store so you can try them on. Some styles work better a size or two up to get that over-sized ‘cocoon’ shape.
Next up is these ever so cute cropped pink trousers from Great Plains, was £60, now £30. They’re actually a lovely waffle-type texture, still warm enough for colder spring days and feel a bit Orla Kiely to me. I’ll be styling them up in an outfit post soon.
This pale blue coat is from H&M and while it’s not actually in the sale I always think their clothes are so affordable it may as well be. It’s £39.99 and has a nice textured weave, while the exposed black zip stops it being too girlie. It’s also available in powder pink (yep!) and would make a great S/S cover-up.
I love this wool bomber jacket from M&S, which could work in place of a coat or cardigan and would go with absolutely everything. Was £69, now £28.
On to that two-tone pink jumper, which has a nice textured stitch effect. It’s a steal from Boden, was £39.50, now £23.70 and also comes in teal blue and pale mint.
Let’s talk Breton tops. No you really can’t have too many and I found this lovely one on the Laura Ashley site, in two colourways – so nice, I could justify both as I know I’d wear them so much, especially with 25% off.
These canvas brogues are from Great Plains, available in navy or sand (which I bought) are an absolute bargain: was £80, now £24. I think they’ll be great for summer and I like the wooden heel.
And finally, I bought these floral patterned trousers from H&M a little while ago and I’ve worn them loads. The cobalt blue feels on-trend, I love the print, they’re so comfy and even at the full price of £19.99, they’re a great buy.
Hope you like some of these picks – happy shopping!
