Have you come across Object yet? If not, then allow me to introduce you to this new online concept store, founded by the very stylish and entrepreneurial Rachael Adams. I first met Rachael about 18 months ago when she was organising a new independent interiors show in Manchester called Home is in the North. Since then she has combined her love of design with her market knowledge to launch Object, selling unique, one-off wares fusing minimalism with femininity.
As my own fashion and home style has changed over the years, I find I’m looking for a simpler, cleaner aesthetic with more natural materials but that doesn’t mean I don’t still yearn for pattern, print, pretty or even pink. I really like the way Rachael’s carefully curated range embraces this, resulting in an online shop filled with things I want to own, created by makers I’m excited to discover. As well as homewares, Object also sells fashion, accessories and a bridal range (but that’s a whole other blog post I think). For now let’s just focus on the lovely home stuff shall we? Feast your eyes.
Object works globally with exciting and emerging, female-led brands from Budapest to Texas. The Scandinavian design aesthetic is a unifying theme, bringing together items that are useful as well as beautiful. I think this wood and marble hexagonal chopping board (worth £45) below epitomises this perfectly and Rachael has kindly donated it as a giveaway prize for one of my readers.
If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning this lovely piece for your home, please fill in the details below. This giveaway is open to UK entrants only. And if you’d like to treat yourself straight away, I also have a special 20% discount code for my readers.
