Clean, simple, timeless designs in colours that spark joy. That’s how Haykin’s founder Katy Barraclough describes her newly-launched online shop and she’s spot on. I’ve followed Katy’s patient planning and progress for a while as she has carefully sourced products for her shop, both locally and globally. And now that Haykin has launched it doesn’t disappoint. Rarely do I browse a shop where I literally want everything. That girl got taste! And to introduce my readers to Haykin, Katy has kindly created a 20% discount code. Let’s go shopping!!
Named for her grandfather Harry Wilkinson, Haykin is a tightly curated, design-led collection of products that I think really shows how much its founder cares about independent designer-makers. Following a 14 year career in PR, including six years running her own consultancy, Katy has traded media calls for colour-hunting to create a store which is driven by her long-held fascination with hue and her eye for minimal, uncomplicated design.
The stationery products alone would be reason enough for me to shop here but there are also accessories and living sections, which include storage, cushions, ceramics, paper goods, jewellery, bags and tech cases. A dedicated children’s department is devoted to colourful, whimsical decorative accessories too.
I can’t wait to see what else Katy adds to her shop in the months to come – sign up to her email newsletter to be kept up to date. And if you’d like to have a little spree and treat yourself or someone else, use the code KATCREAMTWENTY at the checkout to gain 20% off your total order value. Haykin currently only ships to the UK (although plans are afoot to offer overseas delivery soon!). This offer expires on 31st March 2016.
