Canopy & Stars: glamping at Harptree Court

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA few weeks ago I was invited along to a blogger event by Canopy & Stars; the holiday company that specialises in unique and quirky glamping experiences (think yurts, tree houses, wood cabins, shepherd’s huts and gypsy caravans!). We met up at Harptree Court in Somerset, which is the location of three of its best properties so it was a great way for us all to see what C&S do best. If you fancy taking a break somewhere that’s a bit different and a lot special, you might want to bookmark these for future reference. NB: due to size (and style) restrictions, they’re not family-friendly (though plenty of others are) so maybe just birthdays or anniversaries!

Our first tour was around the beautiful house and gardens itself, which has several rooms with en suite where you can stay in complete comfort without worrying about the great outdoors at all (if glamping isn’t your thing). I loved the glamour and period style of these rooms that felt very unspoiled yet still having all the necessary ‘mod cons’.

It’s all pretty fabulous in there, but the star of the show for me is the beautiful bath – can you just imagine!?

I’m really excited to be part of the Canopy & Stars collective, so I’m hoping to be able to share a few more stunning properties like these with you over the coming months if you fancy some more inspiration.

Time to get planning next year’s break!?

That looks like such an incredible experience. I’ve always loved Sawday’s travel guides, and Canopy and Stars looks like a wonderful part of that company. I’m looking forward to hearing more about your adventures with them.

Ahh! This was the company I meant in my last comment – I love this sight and am gutted I never took the opportunity to stay at one of their sites. I need to get on it and look for fun staycation opportunities in California! x

Oh wow – this place looks stunning! Looking forward to seeing what the outdoorsy locations are like. I’m really hesitant about camping but could totally do glamping I reckon x
