I know I probably say this every month but seriously, where did November go? It felt like it went past in the blink of an eye and all of a sudden it’s December, I’m late with the advent calendars and eyeing up Christmas trees. Slow down!! Anyway, it’s definitely time for a little catch up in pictorial form. Last month seemed like a topsy-turvy one; half the time spent enjoying autumn while part of me had one foot in spring 2015, attending press days and photographing summer clothes. I’ve worked in fashion/retail journalism for so long I should be used to it by now but it’s still a little discombobulating (word of the day) but lots of fun nevertheless. Here are a few of November’s best bits.
Autumn leaves, spring fashion, a cosy stay at a pretty hotel and an amazing afternoon tea. Not to mention wrapping up warm for bright, sunny but cold, crisp days (very confusing) and filling up on comfort food. Egg and toast soldiers!!!
Hot chocolate and cosy new birthday socks plus a tin full of my favourite homemade lavender shortbread (thanks to my lovely man). We’ve also had some really cool, foggy evenings and murky mornings which I really like because they make for much more interesting photos. The kids also find them kind of spooky and thrilling too.
So many trips to London recently, I feel like I’ve spent a good portion of this month sitting on a train but it’s great to get my fix of the big smoke, catch up with friends and see what’s what. And the best bit is coming back to my little gang. Most recently, I popped down for the Cath Kidston SS/15 press day and this amazing dress is firmly on my must-have list!
I’ve also made a good dint in my Christmas shopping already (unheard of for me – I must be finally growing up), thanks to a couple of lovely trips to my beloved York. And finally, I squeezed in one last trip to London to visit the lovely folks at Laura Ashley who asked me to style up some outfits for Christmas. It was so much fun playing dress up – more photos to follow soon.
Right now I’m feeling pretty knackered I won’t lie and would quite like to spend the rest of December curled up under my duvet with a continuous supply of tea but something tells me this month might turn out to be a busy one too – I’ve spied so many lovely Christmas trees and decorations on my Instagram feed I’m already itching to get ours sorted soon.

Until next month (2015 eep!)
