Gnomes, florals and drinks on the lawn: Boden SS15

Boden SS press dayWhen it hasn’t stopped raining all weekend (according to my window anyway) it seems like the perfect excuse to distract myself with images of spring and pretty floral clothing. Thank goodness for the Boden SS15 press day then!

Boden SS15 (2) P1050166 P1050160 P1050163Yes, they built a greenhouse! As you can see the horticultural theme was in full swing with sweet blooms, bulbs, fruit and veg as far as the eye could see – and some beautiful clothing in amongst the green as well of course. I’m always spoilt for choice when I go to one of Boden’s press days and the proliferation of prints on show last week was no exception. I loved the palette of pastel pinks and greens combined with brighter oranges and blues.

I tried to pick out a couple of my favourite pieces from the rails and the first two items that caught my eye happened to be a polka dot navy skirt and a cute apple print sundress. On closer inspection of the tags I noticed, quite by coincidence, that one was named Florence and one Beatrice – the same names as my two daughters! Friends, if that wasn’t a clear sign from the fashion gods that I need these pieces in my wardrobe, I don’t know what is.

P.S. How will your sartorial garden grow next year? I don’t know about you, but my wish list is already flourishing!
