It’s nearly the Easter weekend and if you fancy a little online shopping in between the egg hunting/eating, then you might like to check out the Boden mid-season sale, which has up to 40% off current stock. I’ve picked out a few bargains which I think have both the longevity and wearability factor; pieces to see you through summer and even into autumn too.
Boy fit shirt: First up is that boy fit shirt above. I like the way the longer length grazes over the thighs if worn with jeans but you could also tuck it into high-waisted trousers or a pencil skirt for a smarter look. Plus, I think this could easily double up as a cool summer tunic for garden-lazing or a chic beach cover-up too.
Tassel driving shoe: Moccasins make a nice change from pumps, trainers or loafers (all of which I have far too many pairs already). As well as being mega comfy, they’re an easy way to brighten up a plainer outfit or try the whole suede/fringing thing on a smaller scale if you’re not too sure. Play safe with black/navy or maybe try the bolder red which goes with denim and monochrome really well.Roll neck jumper: I love these fine roll neck jumpers and have a couple already which I’ve worn loads. They’re great for layering under a dress when you want a change from jeans but it’s still not quite warm enough – which is how I wore mine in this post. I also think they look really simple and chic with all the wide cropped trousers around at the moment. I wear mine with a denim/leather jacket and trainers most of the time.Janie dress: I’m really tempted to get this dress, which looks like a soft chambray denim but has the comfort and ease of jersey. The zips on the shoulder give it a bit of edge and stop it being just another striped frock. I’d wear this now with tights and trainers and later with bare legs and leather sandals on holiday. Such a good price too!Boxy stripe jersey top: I have this top and it receives so many compliments. Okay I know it’s yet more stripes but this one is all about the flattering boxy shape. It could look cute tucked in with a skirt but I wear mine left loose over cropped trousers so you can show off the dipped hem (as you can see in this post here).Sophia jumpsuit: I recently tried the jumpsuit thing (check out this post here) and I’m a convert. I think it’s much easier to find a well-fitting jumpsuit than dungarees and in general they’re just easier to wear as you don’t even have to layer a top underneath. I like the way this one has a tie waist which helps to give you shape, otherwise you can always add a belt. One piece of clothing and you’re ready to go!
There you go: six classic, versatile pieces with a bit of a twist and all of them nearly half price.
