I’ve decided that when you’re staycationing in the UK, it’s pointless having a wardrobe full of skimpy summer frocks when there will never be enough hot, sunny days to wear them. Instead, I’m sticking with the ‘one good dress will do’ theory, and here’s mine.
Like many, Jo cut her teeth in PR in London before starting her own boutique agency. She also recently relocated to her home in Harrogate where she now juggles work, life and motherhood since having twins, Percy and Odile.
It’s easy to think of our wardrobes in a seasonal way but how about interiors? And in particular the bedroom.
One of my favourite independent shops in Harrogate is Covet. It’s a bit like a mini Anthropologie in there, with an eclectic mix of interiors, fashion and lifestyle products. And many are unique, handmade and ethically sourced pieces that make them extra special. If you’re visiting Harrogate, I’d definitely recommend a look but they also sell online too!
Lately I’ve been reinventing some of my summer wardrobe with a few little styling tricks. Whether you fancy buying something new or not this season, I love the way that just a little tweak can make an outfit feel new and instantly more summery. More ideas this way.
